Port of Albany Facility Director Kosa elected to international maritime environmental association Green Marine Advisory Committee
(April 27, 2026) The Port of Albany-Rensselaer was the first port in New York state to volunteer and certify in the Green Marine program and has continued to meet the environmentally forward benchmarks with consistent and consecutive Green Marine certifications since 2016.

Albany Port Railroad welcomes new Tier 4 Locomotive
(January 12, 2026) Last week, Albany Port Railroad celebrated the arrival of its newest locomotive #2502 with NYS Department of Transportation Commissioner Marie Therese Dominguez and dignitaries from throughout the region.
In 2025, the Port has handled and shipped more than 150 onshore wind power components including hubs, drive trains, and machine heads -- some pieces that weigh hundreds of thousands of pounds! – that were manufactured at GE Vernova in Schenectady destined for Australia.
